Tasting notes
Usually only available from the Cellar door or to Wine Club members, Dal Zotto’s L’Immigrante Prosecco is in fact made in the traditional method (like Champagne) meaning that the second fermentation takes place in the bottle, rather than in stainless steel tanks like normal Prosecco. The result is a slightly yeasty nose and wine that is “pale straw, yet youthful for an aged style of Prosecco, hinting at the serious nature of the style; the bouquet delves into a touch of toasty complexity, underpinned by ample levels of pear, and struck quartz mineral complexity; the palate reveals the complete story, with generous mouth filling bubbles on entry, zesty citrus fruit on the mid palate, and inviting blanched almonds on the dry and chalky finish; beautifully constructed and a fitting tribute to Otto Dal Zotto’s heritage.”
